"The Writer's Life" Workshop
Do you have a book inside of you? Has everyone told you that you should be a writer? Do you get frustrated when you read grammatically incorrect articles, poorly edited books or ghetto websites? If there’s a writer inside of you, find out how to make the Writing Life a reality! In this workshop, we’ll cover topics such as:

  • Feed the Writing Bug: There are lots of ways to fuel your lust for writing! Blogs, articles, books, ebooks, copywriting—identify which is the best for you
  • For Love or for Money: How to identify what it is you REALLY want
  • Fact vs. Fiction: Approaches to writing nonfiction vs. fiction
  • Self-Publishing or Traditional Publishers: What you need to know about DIY or when/whether you should get an agent
  • Writing Is Really Editing: The writing process, step-by-step
  • No More Writer’s Block: The Best Way to kick the notion of writer’s block for good!
  • After the Sale: Whether you’re a published author or self publish, you still have to promote and sell your book. We’ll discuss website, platforms, promotion and sales.

This 1.5 hr workshop includes a workbook with key local resources to assist you, as well as recommendations of reference materials that will help you live your best life as a writer. The workshop is led by author, coach and consultant, Toni V. Martin, whose work has appeared in national magazines and websites and who is the author of two forthcoming books, Atlanta Weddings for the Modern, Stylish and Chic Bride and Tight $queeze: Escape from Life’s 25 Worst Financial Fiascoes.
