Sales Reps / Fundraisers
We are seeking highly motivated and business oriented fundraisers with a passion for the arts. Primary
responsibilities include increasing funds through researching and targeting charitable trusts sympathetic to
the charity; developing and implementing a strategy for the recruitment and development of individual and
corporate supporters; overseeing corporate fundraising, including employee giving and matched giving from
employers; building and maintaining profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with donors and potential
donors - this may include the writing and circulation of regular newsletters. Qualified candidates should
possess excellent writing and computer skills (Microsoft Office Word is a must), The candidate must be highly
organized with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes, able to effectively work under
pressure, use independent judgment and produce a quality work product within tight time constraints.
This position is commission only.
Internships
W e are looking for talented interns to display their talents while learning in the non-profit sector. All candidates should be business oriented,
organized, have an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.  Computer proficiency is a must. Candidates must be in sophomore year
majoring in Public Relation, Marketing, Business Management, Education, Business Administration or business related major.  Full and part time
internships available.


Public Relations Internship
•        initiating and planning PR campaigns
•        writing and editing press releases, in-house newsletters, speeches, articles and annual reports;
•        using corporate advertising to maintain an organization’s identity, name and reputation;
•        preparing and supervising the production of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and  
multimedia programs;
•        answering enquiries from individuals, journalists and other organizations;
•        speaking in public at presentations, press conferences, radio and TV interviews, and meetings;
•        developing and maintaining good working relations with the media, including local and national newspapers, magazines, radio and television;
•        organizing special events, such as press conferences, exhibitions, open days, tours, competitions and sponsorship;
•        fostering community relations through events such as open days and through involvement in community initiatives.

Marketing and Sales Internship

•        researching marketing trends for all PR clientele industries, and some PR specific events as well--i.e. fundraisers concerts performances
•        marketing assignments including sponsorship packages, internet marketing and provide supplemental support at local client events.
•        work directly with marketing manger and program coordinator, publicists, research, event and administration assistants.
•        Sales; Inside and outside, telemarketing, business to business, direct mail

Executive Assistant- College Seniors only

•        Works directly with Director on all projects as needed, which includes, but is not limited to: answering/follow up phone calls, emails, sending    
faxes, tracking press clippings and event support.
•        Follow up with important community contacts including sponsors, parents, media, and business owners
•        Assist with organization of new programs
•        Will get experience in grant writing, fundraising, marketing , finance, managing employees
•        Will work directly with Director, business manager, research, marketing, public relations and admin assistants.

May require light local travel.

of the arts. This candidate must believe in the mission of Journey Arts Center and have a background in
marketing, communications, public relations, and management. Must enjoy discussing class features and
benefits on the phone and in peron  of  various marketing and outreach programs. Good computer skills will
be essential and knowledge of Microsoft Office is a must.



            

                Collection Agent

Reports to Executive Director

We are looking for a tenacious, competent and committed candidate who has the ability and drive to see
tasks through to the finish. This candidate will be responsible for collecting claims from clients through
telephone or other correspondence. This candidate will also be responsible for negotiating payment
schedules and following up with clients to insure proper payment. This candidate should have a background
in finance, customer service  and should have proficient computer skills.
