Journey Performing Arts Center (JPAC) is a non-profit
corporation that provides the community with a learning
environment that trains adults and children in the
discipline of dance, drama and music. The purpose of
our outreach program is to expose youths to the arts,
specifically dance, that would otherwise not have the
opportunity.

Journey provides other community programs such as
daycare centers churches and schools with a specialized
version of our regular dance program. We offer three
different programs... Ongoing Dance Classes, Outreach
Performance  or  Outreach Dance Workshop
Ongoing Dance Classes
Journey Performing Arts Center instructors
will come to your community organization
(school, daycares, churches). We will provide
Dance Instruction over a contracted period of
time.  Journey Performing Arts Center will
tailor a program to fit the needs of your
students. We have a variety of classes in jazz,
hip-hop, ballet, liturgical,  and modern that
can introduce your beginner students to
dance or that can enhance the technique and
performance skills of an already existing
dance program.
Outreach Performance
The Journey Dance Company will come
out and perform for your students. We
have a repertoire of dances from hip-hop
to modern. Following the energetic
performance, dancers will have a
questions and answer session with
students. The performance can be a part
of a program that the school already has
in place or we can be feature as a special
assembly for your students.
Dance Workshops
Journey Performing Arts Center holds Workshops  to expose the community to dance. The
workshop is for beginner dancers. Students will learn basic jazz technique with a fusion of
hip-hop style. Workshop will consist of short performance from Journey Dance Company. We will
then introduce a basic warm- up, technique, choreography, stretch and cool down. Workshop
with warm up and stretch which includes isolations that warm up each individual body part and
stretches the muscles to increase flexibility. Warm up and stretch are followed by basic
technique which includes short exciting combinations across the dance floor. Students will then
engage in fun choreography. Finally, workshop classes end with a review of terminology and cool
down. Students will receive dance terminology and review sheets for use at home. These
workshops can take place at your community organization or at Journeys Facilities.
