Journey Arts Studio Classes
Our studio offers dance drama and music classes. The classes include creative movement , jazz hip hop , drama, piano, guitar, intro to world music, voice and music theory. Classes teach discipline, self esteem and teamwork in addition to specific dance, drama and music curriculum. Classes include a hygiene and etiquette workshop from a specialist in the field. Classes build from week to week and students participate in a spectacular concert at the end of the session. Children have lots of fun in a caring and safe environment. Journey is currently offering children’s classes in drama and music.

Journey After School
The Purpose of Journey Afterschool is to provide students with a safe learning environment to that will creatively enrich their existing academic and social skills. The Program will assist students in reaching their academic goals as well as introduce them to the arts and other extracurricular programming. Journey’s Afterschool program includes tutoring and homework help, academic enrichment, and extracurricular activities. Students enrolled in our afterschool program are provided the opportunity to participate in ballet, jazz/hip hop, martial arts, drama, art, and private music lessons.

Step Into The Arts Outreach Program
The purpose of our outreach program is to expose youths to the arts, specifically dance, that would otherwise not have the opportunity. Journey provides other community programs such as daycare centers churches and schools with a specialized version of our regular dance program. We offer three different programs... Ongoing Dance Classes, Outreach Dance Workshop or Outreach Performance present by the Journey Dance Company

Professional Performance Ensembles
Journey Dance is a fusion of classical ballet technique with modern, jazz, and street hip hop flava. The Journey Dance Company began in January 2007 with the purpose to expose youths and adults to dance. The JDC has performed throughout the Metro Atlanta community including The Sweet Auburn Festival, the Independent Black Film Festival, Oglethorpe University, Morris Brown College and Georgia State University to name a few. Company rehearsal consists of extensive technique, stretch and conditioning, choreography and performance training.

Summer Arts Camp
Campers are immersed in intensive dance, drama, art and creative writing. In dance, they will learn basic ballet and jazz technique with a fusion of hip-hop style. Drama consists of a variety of theatre techniques including improvisation, character building, tableaux and pantomiming taught through various exercises and theatre games. In Art, students are exposed to concepts and forms such as Still Life, Portraits and Abstract Art. Creative Writing will introduce students to creative writing elements such as poetry, narratives and short stories as well as the study of world-renowned authors.
